Building a website for myself.
· 2 min read
Got bored of the RAG stuff *blep*. Designing a website for myself. So many nice profiles out there. I almost fell into a rabbit hole looking at these dev portfolios while seeking an inspiration design. But at one point, every website started to look the same… AI generated? Looks like the “perfect” (huge quote-unquote there) converges to this one design.
So I decided to just give up on this search for inspiration, got back to claude, and described what I had in mind. I decided to worry about visuals later. My resume will act as the data for it to use.
I’ve always been hesitant to post things on LinkedIn because of how weird that platform is. There are a set of untold rules to follow. And there’s a lot of weird people there, trying to correct you everywhere. It stopped being a social media platform while it tries to continue remaining one. It is so weird that corporate companies REQUIRE a social media account and having activity there. Okay before this entry becomes a rant about things I hate about LinkedIn I shall stop.
The point is, on this website I would feel more free to post my thoughts. And maybe if my opinion on LinkedIn changes later, I can even create a hook to automatically post on LinkedIn whatever I post here. (Highly unlikely tho)
Anyways. Skeleton decided:
- Home page, which acts as a basic resume
- Blog, where I just put in thoughts etc.
- Projects, self explanatory
- Freelance, describing all the freelance roles I did in the past, obscuring all specific details
- Contact, cus obviously
